Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regards to the superior number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The services level developed for intervention activities a large influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
